History Of programming languages

History Of programming languages
The first programming languages predate the modern computer. From the first, the languages were codes. Herman Hollerith realized that he could encode information on punch cards when he observed that railroad train conductors would encode the appearance of the ticket holders on the train tickets using the position of punched holes on the tickets. Hollerith then proceeded to encode the 1890 census data on punch cards which he made the same size as the boxes for holding US currency. Download Presentation

web Applications Paper Presentation

web Applications
LINUX is presently the most commonly used implementation of UNIX. Built from the ground up as a UNIX work-alike operating system for the Intel 386/486/pentium family of chips by a volunteer team of coders on the internet LINUX has revitalized the old-school UNIX community and added many new converts. LINUX development is led by Linus Torvalds. The core of the system is the LINUX kernel. Download Presentation

DNA computing Paper Presentation

DNA computing
Today, we live in information age, bombarded with bits and bytes of data countless times every day.At the heart of this is the semiconductor ,the basic building block of most high technology products. There is a powerful computer hidden in your body. Its not your brain-its DNA- DeoxyriboNucleic Acid. DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM Paper Presentation

DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM
Although programs theoretically could refer to hosts, mailboxs and other resources by their network (e.g., IP) addresses, these addresses are hard for people to remember. Also, sending e-mail to tana@128.111.24.41 means that if Tanas ISP or organization moves the mail server to a different machine with a different IP address, her e-mail address has to change.Consequently, ASCII names were introduced to decouple machine name from machine addresses. In this way, Tanas address might be something like that tana@art.ucsb.edu.Nevertheless, the network itself understands only numerical address-es, so some mechanism is required to convert the ASCII strings to network addresses. In the following sections we will study how this mapping is accomplished in the internet. Download Presentation

Ethernet Paper Presentation

Ethernet

Ethernet is a contention media access method that allows all hosts on a network to share the same bandwidth of a link. Ethernet is popular because its readily scalable, meaning it's comparatively easy to integratic new technologies, like fast Ethernet and gigabit Ethernet, into an existing network infrastructure. It's also relatively simple to implement in the first place, and with it, troubleshooting is reasonably straightforward. Ethernet uses both Data link and physical layer information you need to effectively implement, troubleshoot, and maintain an Ethernet network. Download Presentation

Voice Over Internet Protocol VoIP Paper Presentation

Voice Over Internet Protocol VoIP
(voice over IP - that is, voice delivered using the Internet Protocol) is a term used in IP telephony for a set of facilities for managing the delivery of voice information using the Internet Protocol (IP). In general, this means sending voice information in digital form in discrete packets rather than in the traditional circuit-committed protocols of the public switched telephone network (PSTN). A major advantage of VoIP and Internet telephony is that it avoids the tolls charged by ordinary telephone service Download Presentation

An Intelligent Cache System Paper Presentation

An Intelligent Cache System
Cache memory is a key mechanism for improving overall system performance. A cache exploits the locality inherent in the reference stream of the typical application. Two primary type of locality are available and the degrees to which they can be exploited depend on the program input characteristic. Temporal locality relies on the greater probability that recently accessed data will be accessed in near future. Spatial locality refers to the tendency for adjacent or nearby locations to be reference together in time. Download Presentation
